Anne shows her Commitment to Care

Anne presented with her Award Certificate by Julie Wallace, Care Director of Kingdom Homes Ltd.

Anne McGowan, a Team Supervisor at Alexander House showed her dedication to caring for the residents recently which earned her the overall Staff Recognition Award for Kingdom Homes Ltd for June 2010.

Anne was nominated by the duty manager after one weekend of particularly high staff sickness levels called for some staff to move between care homes to ensure the correct skills mix was maintained. She adopted a helpful and "can do" approach to the problem, even volunteering to come in early and stay late for her own shift to help out. The result was resident care was not compromised in any way.

Having worked for Kingdom Homes Ltd for around five and a half years, Anne started as a Care Assistant and has worked her way up from Senior Carer to her present position as a Team Leader. She is a great role model for others in the organisation.
