At the Races

As it was Ascot week last week the residents at Alexander House got into the spirit by holding their own race day. Prior to each race starting they placed bets on their favourites and the winners received lovely prizes. The races were halted whilst they had a buffet lunch with champagne. Some residents and visitors wore fancy hats which added to the race day…

Alexander House residents and staff went back in time to remember VE Day earlier this month. The home had a visit from the Fife Mobile Museum and Gallery. This service, run by Fife Council, is free and aims to make exhibits from local museums…
Isobel's Fundraising Feat for Alexander House

Isobel Lawrence who lives in Crossgates has been busy with her knitting needles. Although she only took up knitting as a hobby in the last few months she has knitted and sold around 30 scarfs in that time, raising a massive £110 which she has very kindly donated to the Residents Fund at Alexander House.

Archie Connell, a resident of Alexander House, had a visit from some of his fellow Masons the other week to present him with his diploma for 50 years service to the Fife 40 Crossgates Lodge. Quite an achievement - well done Archie!!
