Alexander House
Alexander House in Crossgates was purpose built and opened its doors in the autumn of 2007.
Alexander House, Crossgates
The 44 bed nursing home is at the forefront of care. There are 36 large single rooms all enjoying en-suite toilet and shower facilities and 4 double rooms, also with en-suite toilet and shower facilities, for couples who have decided that the time is right for them to enjoy round the clock care and attention.
Alexander House has been designed to meet and indeed surpass all current safety requirements and regulations and is a real home from home, allowing residents to enjoy a cocooned degree of domesticity within a caring community.
The upper floors are accessed by two lifts, while the ground floor lounges and dining areas have access to mature garden areas.
Sitting at the heart of Crossgates, sharing its grounds with Craigie House, a Kingdom Homes residential care home, the predominantly rural setting does not distance it from the many attractions of the surrounding towns like Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. With regular outings on the company's minibus to shops and other places of interest within Fife and beyond, there is always plenty to do.
Our residents also have the opportunity to take part in a very busy schedule of events ranging from exercise classes to reminiscence sessions and games within Alexander House. Kingdom Homes also run a number of residents clubs including a car club, wildlife club, photography club and a creative writing group to name but a few. Residents from all eight care homes in the group may attend these clubs should they choose to do so.
